Fitness Center

Guests may take advantage of our fitness center, where you will find state-of-the-art equipment including Precor and Textrix treadmills, recumbent bicycles, StairMaster, no-impact, elliptical cross-trainers, as well as Cybex specialized weight machines. Television monitors allow guests to personalize their viewing selections.

Pet Policy

The Townsend Hotel is pet friendly.  We allow guests to stay with their dogs.  Upon arrival you will be requested to sign an acceptance agreement.

NEW! State of Michigan - Non-Smoking Law

Beginning May 1, 2010, the State of Michigan will prohibit smoking in public areas, including restaurants and bars. The Townsend Hotel, Rugby Grille and Corner Bar are included in this new law. 

In accordance with the law, smoking is not permitted on any part of Townsend Hotel property. A $250.00 cleaning charge will therefore be assessed to the invoice of any guest who does smoke in their guestroom.
