Chief Concierge

Meghan McCarthy, a Rochester Hills native, is the Chief Concierge for The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Mich. She has held this position since January 1, 2008. McCarthy is responsible for making everyone's wishes come true and making the impossible possible. As the Chief concierge McCarthy oversees the bellmen, valet service and concierge staff. She also serves as the point of contact for celebrities, entertainers and sports teams staying at the hotel.

McCarthy began her career at The Townsend in November 2004. Quickly learning the hotel's trademark world-class service, she was asked to join the concierge staff. After displaying her talent and ability to do the impossible, in July 2005 McCarthy was promoted to senior concierge where she worked with other members of the concierge team to meet guests' needs and exceed their service expectations. Prior to joining the Townsend team, McCarthy worked in sales and marketing for Valley View Athletic Club in Lacrosse, Wis. She also showcased her entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating a nail salon in Wisconsin.

A graduate of Oakland University and Western Wisconsin Technical College, McCarthy enjoys playing tennis and biking. She currently resides in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
